ON MAMA’S GOLD
Mamas gold is a story of orphans, but then it’s also a story about adults.
It’s a children story, it’s an adult story.
It’s an intercultural story.
I covered as a journalist, as China’s first philanthropy lawsuit.
So therefore it’s a complicated story.
Even today the story remain open in terms of ending.
ON LONLINESS & LONER’S STORIES
I choose the orphan story because I want to talk about the issue of loneliness
Of what does that means to be alone.
What would you do to be comforted?
What is the bigger meaning of being alone.
The solitude, the relationship between being alone and solitude?
Room to think about life in a philosophic way.
But it is very interesting and fascinating
I just always like to see those who are not the part of a community
I like to tell loner’s story for some reason.
Am I a loner myself?
Certainly I am.
That’s why I am still single.
I don’t want to be single.
But I think we all need to be alone.
and then I need, we all need family.
I think this relationship between: to be alone and to be with family.
And how do we manage it, it is very interesting to me
