SYNOPSIS

Against the backdrop of a sprawling metropolis Beijing at the turn of 21st century, Chinese expat PHOENIX  returns to her long lost ancestral Siheyuan home on the eve of its being demolished, encountering sweeping dejavu with its tumultuous past and a haunting prophecy of an endangered future.

The Phoenix Nest is an intimate portrait of  contemporary China seen through the eyes of a brave Chinese little girl who, under the guidance of her renaissance grandfather, questions the validity of a world full of deception.
